Educational activity on FVHE is carried out in three accredited degree programs: Master's, bachelor's, continuing master, doctoral and lifelong learning.

Study programs of undergraduate studies contain a set of compulsory and compulsory elective subjects. Basic forms of teaching are lectures, practical exercises, seminars, consultations, teaching in agricultural and food companies and institutions, individual fellowships and internships for students, independent professional work at the departments, purpose-built facilities of the faculty and the university (the slaughterhouse, School Farm), practical teaching in technological workshops (meat workroom and workroom for fish, fish products and Dairy), as well as self-study. Emphasis is placed on practical instruction aimed at acquiring practical skills of the student.

Faculty setting

Faculty of Veterinary Hygiene and Ecology of the University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno is a part of the system of university education in the Czech Republic.
The faculty is located in the Central European region in the Czech Republic in the city of Brno in the precinct of the University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno.

The university campus stretches over the area of 13 hectares.
The university was founded in 1918 in the premises of former military quarters as Veterinary University in Brno.

Faculty of Veterinary Hygiene and Ecology is one of the three Faculties of the Veterinary and Pharmaceutical University Brno.

It pursues education and research in the field of veterinary medicine with the differentiation especially into the veterinary aspects of food safety and veterinary public health protection.
